Upgrade your Hobie Outback kayak with CNC machined aluminum tracks that not only enhance the stability of camera mounts but also give you piece of mind when trolling with rod holders or mounting other valuable accessories.
Note: This installation does not work with bungee retainers or tool leashes.
Step 1: Remove Existing Tracks using a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the screws securing the existing tracks. Keep these screws for later use
Step 2: Clean the Mounting Location After removing the old tracks, clean the mounting area to ensure a smooth surface for the new CNC machined aluminum tracks. Wipe away any dirt or debris to create an optimal foundation.
Step 3: Place the existing H Rail bases back onto the kayak and the H rail on top of that. The spacers provided need to be located on the 4 screw locations on the inner of the rail to take up the gap, with the coutersunk side facing downwards to located on the existing screw holes. Once these pieces are in place, install the aluminum track on top of the end plastic adapters.
Step 4: Secure Tracks using the new screws provided in the kit. Add the screws evenly, hand-tightening to ensure a secure and stable attachment. Avoid overtightening to prevent damage to the tracks or the kayak hull.
