The Raymarine HV-100 ready transducer mount is designed to fit in the existing Lowrance Ready location on the base of Hobie® kayaks. These mount and cover the RV-100 transducer which comes with the ELEMENT range providing protection and also maintaining a crisp image with the structure scan. This mount on a Pro Angler sits level with the base of the hull but extends lower on other Hobie models
This is made from tough ABS plastic and comes with stainless steel fasteners required.
USThe material itself is able to withstand the weight of my compass duo which was fully rigged for fishing. We launch at the beach. My worry was that it was too heavy. But as all Berley Pro items I purchased, the quality is topnotch. The “But” part is this: My 2021 Hobie Compass Duo mirage drive well is in the way of the transducer mount cover. The hard plastic is too long for the Compass Duo. When I installed the transducer mount for my Raymarine HV-100 transducer, I was so glad that I can now use my transducer on my née co pass duo, that I did not check that the transducer mount cover was I. The way of the drive-well. Therefore, when I installed the mirage drive after I launch from the beach, I dropped the drive into the well hard enough to cause the cover to break. I think that if Berley Pro made the cover shorter (so it does not protrude passed the drive well) it would be perfect. I would buy again if Berley Pro made the cover shorter for the compass duo. I will still buy from them for all my kayak accessories needs.
