Your sounder / graph / fish finder screen is not straight normal glass, it is specially coated and needs to be cared for correctly. Let us show you how.
Avoid: Bug spray, sunscreen, Windex, Rain-X, paper towels, and dry salt crystals (they scratch the special coating).
Safe cleaners:
- Star Brite
- 50/50 isopropyl alcohol + water
- 50/50 distilled water + vinegar
Method:
- If used in salt water, wet the screen first (never wipe dry salt).
- Spray cleaner onto a microfiber or cotton cloth (not directly on the screen if possible).
- Wipe in gentle circular motions.
- Use the manufacturer’s sun/dust cover when not in use.
