The BerleyPro Scupper Bro is engineered to protect the scupper tubes and base of hull around them on Hobie kayaks used with Hobie wheel carts.
When transporting a loaded kayak, weight and movement are transferred directly through the trolley posts into the scupper tubes. Scupper Bro introduces a controlled silicon interface that cushions impact, reduces hard contact, and distributes load more evenly inside the scupper wall. The result is smoother transport over ramps, gravel and uneven ground, with reduced stress concentration inside the hull structure.
Compatible with all Hobie kayak models and designed specifically with Lynx and Passport (original thermoformed versions) kayaks in mind, Scupper Bro complements their lighter construction by adding a compliant buffer between cart and hull without altering fitment or structural integrity.

When I purchased my new Hobie Compass I was immediately worried about the long-term fatigue of the way the cart interfaced with the kayak. My previous Outback had eventually suffered damage from the cart. Saw these recently and purchased. They do the job perfectly but are also short enough that locking pin still works on the cart.

Scupper Bro works!
The Scupper Bro cushioned the kayak from the scupper cart very well. Very little movement was noticed. I don't think I will have any scupper issues using this on my Hobie Lynx.
