Installation best practices:
These tracks are heavily anodized, so the risk of galvanic corrosion is low. However, its not a bad idea to apply a thin smear of marine isolating compound (e.g. Tef-Gel or Duralac) to the screw threads before fitting. A little under the screw head helps if it sits on aluminium.
Do not overtighten. Stop when the track is secure so you don’t strip the anodizing in the hole. After saltwater use, rinse the tracks and screw heads with fresh water and allow them to drain.

Good but could be great
Love the product. Only issue is tracks are aluminum and screws that come with them are stainless. Mix this with salt water and you get galvanic corrosion. Common when you mix stainless and aluminum.
Hi Harry, thanks for your feedback and sorry for delayed response. We don't actually provide fitting hardware with these any more. Our recomendation now is to just reuse the same fitting hardware from the tracks that these are replacing, but these are still stainless steel. Unfortunately it is tricky to completely avoid galvanic corrosion between steel and aluminium without a couple of extra measures. The tracks are anodized, which helps, but it is good practice to use a small amount of marine isolating compound such as Tef-Gel, Duralac or Lanocote when installing the fitting hardware. Its also good practice to give the tracks a good rinse after use when you hose down the hull.
We could have made the tracks from stainless steel but then they'd be adding unnessecary weight. There aren't really great options for alternative fitting hardware for alluminium either, as they have their own cons to consider.
