Tasline Elite X8 Fishing Braid

I spend a lot of time getting close to shallow fish, so anything that helps with a stealthy approach is highly valued. Tasline braid has no waxes, colors or coatings which means this stuff shoots off the reel better than anything else on the market. Casts are longer and it shrugs off abrasions and scrapes nicely, which is critical with lighter braids. The result? I fish all over the world for everything from mountain trout to giant tuna offshore as part of my business. For me, losing a fish isn't just a bummer... it can actually really affect my income. So for me, my fishing line is my business, and I refuse to use anything but the best. A couple years back I discovered Tasline after watching those crazy Aussie boys using it to wrangle in massive GTs from the rocks, so I had to give it a try. I never went back. This stuff casts better than the competition, it breaks at way higher force than it advertises, and it's thinner than it should be for the strength. There's literally nothing I'd want to improve. Also, white looks good on every setup. Can't recommend this stuff enough if you dislike losing fish.

The transition over to Tasline has been outstanding. Leaving behind all of the color options in braided line for increased performance was a no brainer. Increased casting distance and the way the line packs on to a reel is impressive.
Having the availability to fish many different environments and situations has been great. Needing to cast large lures into specific zones and being able to present a strong braid that will not inhibit the action of a lure is easy with the PE offered.

Strong and super thin, great braid. Really smooth a quite going through the guides.

Using 8lb on a 2000, 12lb on a 2500, 20lb on a 3000 and 30lb on two 6000 sized reels.
Performance is just about the same on each reel. Spools evenly, peels off and moves through the air in a direct line to target without much wind interference, and breaks well above the stated breaking strain. Hard wearing. Well worth the $$ IMO.

Slickest line I’ve ever used to be for sure. Stronger than normal for the diameter and easy easy easy to tie. Highly recommend!

So I’ve used Tasline 12Lb for awhile now and when it came time to try a new fishing technique, I bought Tasline 60Lb weight line to use for slide bait fishing, on a Shimano Torium 30 HG Overhead reel, it spooled effortlessly and being able to measure the line as it was going on showed that Tasline is more than generous with their lenght of measure on the spool, the line has filled the spool beautifully still to hook up with a big fish but I know this line will handle it with ease.

Nothing but praise for the 12lb tasline braid. Casts amazingly well and can take the strain of a good sized fish.

A quality line with great smooth feel, exceptional knot capabilities and strength. As they say “to do the job once, do it properly the first time” and that is 100% correct with this braid. If I’m still using this same line in 3-4yrs time I will be extremely happy.
