Vibe Lowrance Tripleshot Sidescan Transducer Mount

I made a mistake in the order, so I canceled it right away and the feedback was fast.
The product is also very satisfactory, and I'm currently installing it in my kayak and enjoying fun fishing.

After seeing what I used, I ordered it to be used by other friends for kayaking. Everyone is satisfied.

'm riding a 12.5ft kayak from another brand. Fortunately, it's compatible. be content with the use of a cow I recommend it to others, so I buy and use it a lot.

I have a kayak that didn’t quite fit this cover but it was the closest I could get, a few adjusted holes with a drill and it was perfect! The cover doesn’t affect the signal at all and it definitely has saved my transducer a few times, I’ve had my yak slip off my car roof as I was unloading a couple of times and land flat on the ground, straight onto the transducer! no damage whatsoever!

I had to modify my first purchase to align the mounting holes and fit the base plate to the kayak. Never made it to the water before the front corners broke off the transducer cover. I ordered a replacement and installed the outer cover over the original base plate. One of the wholes on the 2nd outer cover had to be modified to fit. From the beginning I made custom soft foam blocks to store the kayak on but the protruding outer cover somehow got broken.

I bought this to protect the Lowrance transducer from hitting objects when in on shallow waters. No issues with scanning through the cover and plus it sits lower then the haul so you get a better side scan.

Unusable in current condition.

I haven't used the transducer mount yet, however, it is installed. And that is why I'm doing the review now instead of waiting.

I read many of the reviews online and anyone that had anything negative to say were all the same: fitment quality.

First, the wholes did not line up. They seemed about a 1/8 to a 1/4 in off on the long side. I had to take a rat-tail file and open the ID so that I could get the screws to bolt in.

Second, the spacer plate isn't thick enough. This means the cover wouldn't mount flush to the boat. What I ended up doing is using my dremel to grind down the part that extends past the transducer opening so that I could get a good flush mounting surface.
The reason I personally think this is an important issue, is we are talking about screwing into the plastic. I don’t want any pulling force on any of the bolt threads.

Third and last, the area where the transducer fits into the cover is too small. Not by much, but clearly it's a super snug fit. It's short enough that the plastic part that you bolt on to keep the transducer in place doesn't have a good mounting surface contact.

I've worked in manufacturing for quite a long time as a CNC machinist. These three things are super easy to address and correct. I don't understand why they would ask for reviews if you don't address the issues the customers bring to your attention.

On a side note.

On their web page, Jake B. gives a 5 star review and states "Fit perfectly to my kayak didn't need to modify it at all, strong durable and doesn't stick out below my kayak." The hashtags are "BerleyPro Vibe Lowrance and Garmin Sidescan Transducer Mount" This can't be a true review. If you look at the pictures on their own website, you can clearly see the transducer mount does indeed stick out below the kayak.

I know this sounds like I'm eating them alive, but for the price, wait time for shipping, and the amount of time it would take to fix these issues, I can't give a better review.

As for how it works? We'll see tomorrow after I take it out.

Marty requested a review but this is all I can say: Shipped quickly after order 12/10 by Auspost. Sat at Melbourne for 9 days until I complained to Auspost. Arrived at Chicago and has been sitting there 'awaiting customs clearance' since. 9 days and counting. I will update a review on the cover when it hopefully arrives in 2020. The cover was recommended to me by several individuals so I expect it to be great - but expect to wait at least 1-2 months for delivery in the US.

Excellent quality product, received in very quick time, a big thankyou to Marty for providing information on the mount prior to purchase, as I have now attached this mount to my Feelfree Lure 11.5 Kayak to protect my Lowrance tripleshot sidescan transducer. Would definitely recommend BerleyPro products and staff

I think this is my favorite upgrade to my Sea Ghost 130. It holds the TripleShot transducer perfectly. Down side: It didn't include instructions so it took me a few minutes to realize it actually holds the transducer instead of just covering it. Also it didn't exactly line up with the holes in my Sea Ghost. It took me about 20 minutes of sanding and redrilling the holes to get it to fit perfectly. Having said that, I would still order again if I needed a second one.

Ordered this knowing i would have to modify it slightly to fit my Viking Reload. Was easy to do and the result is fantastic. Really glad i purchased it.
