These are replacement gas struts specifically designed for the BerleyPro Will-I-Loader kayak loader. They provide the lifting assistance required to easily load and unload heavy kayaks, SUPs, or similar long items onto vehicle roof racks from a single-person operation.
Note: the replacement struts are not supplied with the Will-I-Loader Kayak Loader shown in the example images
Which one to choose:
Match the strut to your kayak's approximate weight when ready for loading. Test and swap if needed - struts are interchangeable on the loader. Many users with Hobie Outbacks or similar fishing kayaks report success with the 45-55 kg or 55-65 kg options for heavier setups.

When should struts be replaced?
Gas struts wear over time and extended use (loss of pressure, slower action, or failure to hold/lift). Replace when the loader no longer assists properly or feels unsafe. They are not user-repairable (sealed units).
Maintenance and care tips
Keep the strut clean and avoid side loads.
Check pins, clasps, and zip ties regularly.
Lubricate moving parts lightly if needed (avoid the strut rod).
