Not the right fit
Purchased a visor and connector protectors for a Garmin striker 7. The visor is perfect and good quality, highly recommended, but the connector protectors are too large for the Garmin strike 7. These protectors are a good design but made as a one size fits all and unfortunately the striker 7 cable inserts are too close together to push the protectors in. Another issue is in Garmin design, there are only rubber seals to hold the cables in rather than a better mechanical screw cap, this means the when you push the protectors down to the back of the unit, it puts outwards pressure on the cable, pulling them out of the socket. For these smaller units I’d rather a waterproof canvas hood that slips over the shade visor and covers the cables of the back.

With the connector protector or recommend putting some silicone inside around where the cables come inside the connector protector as when I was in transit the connector protector itself filled up with water caused by rain running down the cable into the back of the connector protector causing it to fill up other then that it’s great!
Not saying all setups will be the same but this happened for me so just thought I’d let you know

Great Product But….
It’s a complete pain putting the cover on my Helix 10 especially as I don’t leave the unit on the boat.Very fiddly to get the side plates to fit in place correctly but when it’s on it’s brilliant. Would I buy again definitely not unless the fixing system isn’t modified significantly

Good quality plug protectors for a Garmin 95sv sounder in a 420 renegade. I also recommend the visors as well they’re good quality, fits perfect, strong, light weight, easy to install and they look good.

A universal solution to premature death!
Simple solution for that extra level of protection for sounders, especially those mounted in areas exposed to the elements ideal for bow mount, kayaks & centre consoles.
Great that these are a universal fitment so you can reuse them if you upgrade sounders down the track.

i found the protector easy to install and use it does what it is designed to do. you just need to make shore not to put the cable ties on to tight to allow the protector to slide up the cable to allow ease of connecting the sounder cables

Firstly, I purchased these connectors over Christmas and Berley Pro still managed to get them in the post an I had them in 3 days. Great service.
They wer delivery easy to fit and sealed the plugs on my HDS 10 really well. First trip out into 30km + winds and the back of the sounder got pretty wet. No moisture around the plugs at all. Really happy with the product.
